Amherst Museum, Amherst, NY
10am-5pm
Sat & Sun
Take your family back in time to see blacksmiths, spinners and weavers at the Harvest Craft Festival at the Amherst Museum. Western New York’s fastest growing family festival is an old-fashioned country fair with more than 80 artisans selling handmade items including jewelry, hand-carved wood, fabric, clothing, country folk art and food.
The Harvest Craft Festival is set on the grounds of the Amherst Museum’s 35-acre park. The historic site features 12 restored homes, churches and schools from the dating back to the early 1800s. Spread throughout the festival, you’ll find storytelling, rug making, country music, Victorian dancing and other historical entertainment.
The Harvest Craft Festival also features a farmers market, pumpkin patches and flowers. Children’s entertainment includes the world renown Puppen Meister puppet show, petting zoo, a pig show, hay rides, farm equipment and games.
With museum exhibits, crafts, recreations and other events, the Harvest Craft Festival truly is a fun and educational family experience. Last year, more than 10,000 people enjoyed this treasured event, now in its 14th year. The Amherst Museum is located at 3755 Tonawanda Creek Road (at the corner of New Road) in Amherst.
