Steve discovered his love for art in his early years. As a child, his dad introduced him to woodworking. In his teen years, he discovered photography and developed a love for capturing the beauty in the world around him with his camera. In 2009, he began working with glass through upcycling and embellishing. He expanded the hobby into a full-time business by starting at farmers markets and he quickly grew to greatly enjoy the culture of craft shows and art festivals. He loves interacting with customers and sharing his work and ideas. Suzanne joined him at the events and then started assisting on the creative side and in production. Our focus is the upcycling of beer, wine, soda, and liquor bottles. We love finding new and different bottles to repurpose into functional art. Custom projects from customers who fall in love with our art is also a passion of ours. We gain a lot of satisfaction helping someone else’s vision come to life through our creativity.
We source our bottles from local bars, restaurants, and consumers. The process used to cut and polish each bottle varies depending on the shape, thickness, and unique properties of each bottle. Once cut, each bottle is hand polished using tools that Steve created himself. For drinking glasses, the inside edge is given an extra polish to create a bevel. Glasses range $6-$15.
Our most popular lamps are made from upcycled beer growlers. They receive a design or decal, and are then wired with three-way switches to turn on the main light, an interior nightlight, or both. Pendant lights are made from bottles that are cut at both the top and bottom to create pendant globes. Lighting ranges $30-60.
The top selling items at craft shows are our upcycled bottle candles. They are made with soy wax and hand poured into our hand crafted beer/soda glasses and liquor vases We currently offer 80 different scents, with an emphasis on beverage fragrances to complement our brands of bottles. Candles range $10-$30.
