“DO YOU EVER WONDER WHAT BARS DO WITH ALL OF THEIR EMPTY LIQUOR BOTTLES AT THE END OF THE NIGHT?”
This is a question I have constantly asked myself-not because I’m a raging alcoholic, but because I’ve been a bartender for over 17 years, and during this time I’ve seen a lot of waste. Not every place recycles or has the means to do so. I have first-hand witnessed hundreds of glass liquor bottles go straight in the trash and have always wondered if there was a way to re-purpose them. I wanted to give them a new life but didn’t know how. What can you do with an empty liquor bottle? Turns out, not a whole lot. But after having an allergy attack and consuming a bottle of Benadryl, my creative energy started to flow. Suddenly, I became enLIGHTened. Everything was starting to make SCENTS! I was going to take empty liquor bottles and turn them into sustainable candles.
